So, my group finally bit the bullet and decided to change our monologue project to something else. We had so many problems with our other project and we found that the monologue we had chosen would not be visually interesting enough.. After throwing messages back and forth we came to the decision of using Nathan's speech from S01E06 of the Channel 4 series, 'Misfits'. However, this change meant that we only had one day to shoot and edit the film. So, after a long day on Saturday (10/11/2018) we finally have something we're proud of.

It just goes to show that not everything you do will be a success. You will have fails or struggle to achieve something but you can't let that get you down. Us as a group could have quite simply given up with the whole project entirely. Nothing had gone right, all of the shots we had were blurry, the speech was boring. We had all of that to deal with and the project was due in a weeks time but we still persevered. We got together and had a production meeting, we planned out everything that we needed and when we were going to do it. We got the kit booked and ready to use on the day of shooting. We arrived on location on Saturday and got straight to work for what became a 5+ hour shoot. By the end of the day we were all tired and hangry but nevertheless, we were proud. Proud of ourselves for being able to produce a whole new project two days before the deadline. I was then up until 5:30am Sunday morning editing the audio and getting a rough assembly edit done before we met up again as a group to re-edit for Monday.

Anything is possible if you're passionate about it.
