We have recently taken a new project. A complete scene recreation. Much like one of our previous projects, we have to recreate a scene from a film or TV show completely, focussing on crucial props, costumes, set design, lighting, timing, camera angles, and more. This is a much bigger task compared to our other scene recreation where we were only to focus on lighting.

The brief is as follows:

Re-create a scene from a film of your choice, matching props, costume, location and timing to the best of your ability. The scene should run between 3 and 5 minutes and when the recreation and original clip are simultaneously played, the visuals and timings should match. No vehicle or weapons allowed.

Another difference with this project is we have to have a much larger crew, due to it being a much larger project. We are also required to delegate specific roles to those in the crew. These roles included:

  • Producer

  • Director

  • Sound Recordist

  • DOP

  • 1st AC

  • 1st AD

  • Art Department

  • Post Production

With this project we have also been given paperwork to complete alongside the filming aspect. This included:

  • Risk Assessments

  • Project Schedule

  • Call Sheets

  • Prop List

  • Costumes

  • Locations Document

  • Storyboard or Shot List

We recruited new people to our already existing crew and began deciding what rolls people were and what paperwork they had to do. We also began researching different scenes to recreate.
